Artist's Description
NOTE: The "Fine Art America" watermark will not appear on purchased products.
This is Tunnel #15 in Oregon's Cascade Mountains. At 150 feet long, it is the shortest railroad tunnel in these mountains. It is located at milepost 553.9, 93 miles southeast of Eugene.
I made this shot from the rear window of Amtrak Train #11, the southbound Coast Starlight, on May 28, 2001.
NOTE: There is some slight motion blur in the image from the motion of the train, so the focus is a tad soft. It is most noticeable in larger prints when viewed close-up.
