I don't remember making this photograph. I remember the night, and where I was. It was Christmas Eve 2003 in Medford, Oregon. I had been experimenting with various forms of light painting about that time, so it doesn't surprise me that I painted with Christmas lights by moving the camera rapidly during the exposure. Or it may have been an unintentional accident. I was going through my files and rediscovered it after al this time. It definitely has a Christmas theme, but is just abstract enough to display all year round.
