Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption. The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton. Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").
Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

A view across Monterey Bay from Del Monte Beach near the Monterey-Seaside border as seen in July 2005. The cross on the left was erected in 1969 on the 200th anniversary of the Portola-Crespi overland expedition. In 1769 Portola's men erected a cross to signal their supply ship which, unbeknownst to them, was lost at sea. Buried by their cross was a message for the ship indicating that the expedition had (according to their belief) failed to find Monterey Bay (which was right in front of them!) and they were returning to San Diego.
In 2009 the cross was toppled by vandals. When the city of Monterey attempted to repair it the ACLU threatened to sue the city if it was repaired on the grounds that it violated the principle of separation of church and state. The city backed down and as of now only a concrete pedestal and an explanatory plaque remains.

In the fall of 1959, Mr. Toy entered this world at a place called Carmel on California's Monterey Peninsula. Nine years later his family pulled up stakes for the rain-soaked city of Salem, Oregon where he never quite fit in. When he was 12, he and his mother viewed an exhibit of photographs by a Salem newspaper photographer, which inspired him to take his first photography class. During his teenage years he gradually developed his eye for composition and his skills with light and exposure. Though he did not pursue photography as a career, he has continued to document his observations of the world on small frames of film.
