A restored wetland at the Carmel River Lagoon as seen in July 2009. For many decades the land was an artichoke farm operated by the Odello family. In the mid 2000s the West Odello field (the portion of the Odello farm west of Highway 1) was restored as wetland habitat. The Odello's home and barn can be seen on the right side of this photograph.
