I shot this from Amtrak's Coast Starlight on February 25, 2004 at 12:18 pm, just a couple minutes north of the Northern California town of Dorris. The location is in Siskiyou County just a few miles south of the Oregon border. I confirmed the location using Google satellite view, which, alas, showed me that the old wooden barn is no longer there. That makes this photograph not just a pleasant winter landscape, but a historical record as well.
