This was the second visit to Monterey of the Ecuadoran tall ship Gauyas. Here it is seen tied up at Monterey's Municipal Wharf, commonly called Wharf #2, on June 23rd, 2002. The main deck of the ship was open to the public during the visit. Although the signs appear intimidating, one can freely walk out past the signs to the end of the pier any time. Only unauthorized vehicles are prohibited.
