This is the California State Capitol dome in Sacramento. I like to break the rules once in a while and show things a little differently. Though startling to the mind, if you suspend your ideas of up and down, and see this for what it really is, a two dimensional collection of shapes and patterns, it is a nicely balanced composition.

You can display this in any of three orientations. Here the dome is tilted to the left. Rotate it 90 degrees clockwise, and the dome tilts to the right. Rotate it 45 degrees and the dome is vertical. Hang it any way you like to represent different political leanings!
